An upper-level studio led by Meetinghouse’s design director, Veruska Vasconez.

Nurtured in French elegance, L’ Espace is a visionary project that reimagines a luxury home’s new flagship. This project discovers what defines the fragrance industry: its simplicity, craftmanship, and uniqueness.

This mixed-use complex becomes light and layered, it is based on two residential towers, two greenhouses, restaurants, stores, boutiques, factories, and a beautifully crafted open space garden, an element inspired by famous French gardens. The flowers are handpicked and are not only meant for visual appreciation but for exposing the raw material used for most fragrances and oils. The location of this project was thought out strategically because of its greenery surroundings. L’Espace celebrates the landscape, where nature becomes the biggest ally and the greatest source of inspiration.

L’ Espace

Rive Gauche, Paris, France

Our timeless design is just a matter of materials, it symbolizes that materials can never be as beautiful as the simplicity of light and nature. The simple form and orientation of the building comply with the code compliances of the proposed site. The escalated design aims to forest scent in the air throughout the environment.

L’Espace focuses on the interactivity of the public realm while projecting pureness and clarity. Its elegance and playfulness are not only seen physically but felt uniquely by anyone who inhabits it.

Entering our site, directly in the center is the well-mentioned garden that leads you to the unexpected yet, elegantly built “Oeuf”, which takes the center of the stage. In its surroundings are located stores separated by categories of the same brand. And at the very end, where most believe the most important part of the process happens is the factory, where many can observe the fascinating manufacturing process of making a perfume.

We also wanted to set a tone by breaking the rigid geometries, therefore the addition of the rounded 6 feet and cantilevered balconies are what help us get there.

L’Espace resembles an interactive environment where all visitors can immerse into a sensory experience, emerging in our five senses.
